ORPALIS is based in the South-West of France, in the small town of Muret, near Toulouse. Toulouse is famous for being the center of the European aerospace industry and hosting world leading IT companies. In this favorable environment Loïc Carrère created a company which became in a very short time a reference in the document imaging and image processing domains.
Loïc Carrère says: "Thanks to the State's recognition and financial support, the company's activity will be even more focused on developing our own technologies and on the release of several patents. The bottom line is that without research work, you cannot build a powerful, stable, durable and innovative product like our GdPicture SDK, which helps thousands of organizations with their ever growing needs for document imaging, image processing and document management. Our end-users applications, even the free ones like PaperScan Scanner Software Free Edition and ORPALIS PDF Reducer Free Edition, are built with the same technologies. The general public benefits of the same level of excellence than the professionals."
Already recognized for several years by professionals and peers, with this new certification ORPALIS gets the scientific backing that brings the startup to a new level of qualification. ORPALIS is a company that counts in the world of document imaging, image processing and document management in France and internationally today and for the years to come.
