ORPALIS is pleased to introduce the brand new Labs section of its website. Labs are a creative space dedicated to freeware and experimental projects designed by the ORPALIS team. ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader is the first Labs freeware to be released.
Muret, France, July 04, 2013.
ORPALIS Labs marks the start of a new chapter in the story of the French Document Imaging company: the team members now have their own space to develop new ideas as well as personal projects. The philosophy behind Labs is to share innovative products with the public, that’s why the first application developed – ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader – is a freeware utility.
Currently the Labs section also contains the preview of PaperLight, an innovative document management application (for image and PDF files), developed as an extension of Windows Operating System.
The ORPALIS Labs are located on the ORPALIS website.
A section is dedicated to the different Labs projects on the ORPALIS public forum.
ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader
The ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader makes barcode scanning processes simpler! ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader is an application to scan barcodes directly on the screen of your computer. Its intuitive interface allows users to scan near than 20 industrial linear (1D) symbologies and 2D barcodes such as DataMatrix, PDF 417, Qr-Code and Micro Qr-Code.
The application is fully integrated in the Windows’ system tray and is available from any windowed application. The steps are really simple, the user scrolls over the barcode to scan, clicks on it and gets the result instantly. The result can be sent in another window field or copied in the clipboard. ORPALIS Virtual Barcode Reader works on Windows XP SP3 or any later version including Windows 8, on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions.
The download is available on the ORPALIS website in the Labs section:
