Hi Everyone!

It's been a few months already since the GdPicture.NET Document Imaging SDK and DocuVieware HTML5 Viewer and Document Management Kit new major releases. We've been quite busy since, and we're happy to share our work with you.

GdPicture.NET 14

General

Battery of performance enhancements, especially for getting and setting bitmap data.
Improved speed and dramatically reduced memory usage while converting bitmap to 32 bpp.
Introduced a new filter to dropout colors in several contexts.
Improved blank page detection filter, document format detection, and auto-deskew accuracy.

PDF

Improved PDF rendering engines (better quality with small bitmap) and rasterizer. New methods and advanced printing support are also available.

MICR

The speed and accuracy of the MICR engine has been dramatically improved for reading and decoding checks.

RTF - NEW

Support for RTF document.

Viewer

NEW events, methods, and zoom mode (shrink image to viewer width).

DOCX Open Office XML

Improvements of the rasterizer (rendering speed, text extraction and selection) and of the rendition of tables. Support has been added for images encoded by the mean of legacy format Vector Markup Language (VML) and for the rendition of page numbers.

Barcode

1D barcode reader: improvement of the accuracy in several contexts.
Qr-Code: +24% accuracy.
Datamatrix: various bug fixes.

DocuVieware 3

General

NEW Support for ASP.NET Core Web Applications (.NET Framework) with sample application.
NEW Mobile/touch device optimized toolbar.
NEW.NET property ToolbarStyle to choose between auto, desktop or mobile.

Improvements of:

rendering quality on devices with high pixel density.
file transfer mechanism to recover from transfer error.
speed when sticky session is disabled.
error handling and diagnostic mechanism.

Tutorials and code samples

NEW Sample application for Angular2.

Annotations

NEWLink annotation has been added to the built-in palette.

Dramatically decreased the amount of data required to handle free hand drawing annotations.
NEW JavaScript functions.

Localization

NEW Slovenian language support.

TWAIN

NEW.NET methods and Javascript functions for
advanced TWAIN configuration.
