ORPALIS, famous for its best-selling imaging products GdPicture.NET, PaperScan and PDF Reducer now sponsors a local team of riders and horses. All took part to the Jumping de Bordeaux in February and will be seen at several jumping events in 2014.

The offices of ORPALIS are located in the south west of France. Created in 2007 by Loïc Carrère and labelled Young Innovating Company in 2012 by the French state, ORPALIS is now well established in the area and recognized worldwide. The company moved last summer to the small town of Seysses near Toulouse (Haute-Garonne).
Why sponsoring horse riders?
Elodie Tellier, C.O.O., says: “At ORPALIS we believe it’s important to be involved in the community in which we live and work. Horse riding is really popular in our area and the Haras de Lorane horse stables and riding school was looking for a sponsor to take a team to the famous Jumping International de Bordeaux in February. As a rider myself I thought that a sponsoring could help my fellow riders and at the same time make my company more visible. A lot of people at ORPALIS like horses so associating our name with show jumping was a natural thing to do. In our area it’s all about rugby and soccer with the famous teams of Toulouse nearby, so why not sponsoring a different sport?”
The ORPALIS Team at the Jumping de Bordeaux
The Jumping International de Bordeaux is part of the World Cup Jumping and hosts the best riders and horses. The 2014 edition took place on February 7th, 8th and 9th. The ORPALIS Team featured Loréna Torre and her horse Spot du Rozel, Pierre-Edouard Lemire and Svalebo’s Cordino, Julien Balbiano with Nuage de Blagny and coach Christophe Torre. The Team competed to the Partners Event and had the chance to share the paddock with the elite riders. At the end of the third day the ORPALIS Team ranked 13th (25 teams were participating). People from ORPALIS went to Bordeaux to support their team, and everyone was enthusiastic about the show and the amazing three days spent there. Loïc Carrère, C.E.O., says: “Everyone did their best to make this event memorable and we’ll definitely looking forward to next year’s edition of the Jumping!”
Show jumping season
The ORPALIS Jumping Team will be seen in several events of the 2014 jumping season in southern France.
A new section dedicated to sponsorship and other events involving the company is now available on the ORPALIS website. Everyone is welcome to follow the results of the riders and their horses on the ORPALIS Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages.
